Comments, replies, and action items
Discuss document content, keep replies together, resolve threads, and assign accountable follow-up work.

Comments attach discussion to a document. When you select text before commenting, Quire records an anchor so collaborators can see the exact passage that prompted the conversation.
Start and continue a thread
Select document text or open the comment rail, then create a comment. Replies remain under the original thread. Mention the decision needed, provide enough context for someone arriving later, and avoid putting the only copy of a durable decision in a comment.
Resolve a thread when the question or requested change is complete. Resolution does not erase the conversation. A member can reopen a resolved thread when work resumes.
Use action items
Change a thread to an action item when it needs an owner. Assign an eligible team member, state the expected outcome, and complete the item when the work is done. Action items remain part of the document's collaboration history.
Agents can list comments and action items, reply, resolve, reopen, assign, and complete them when the authorizing member has permission. Agent-created activity is visibly attributed.
Summarize the final outcome in the document before resolving a decision thread. The document should remain useful without requiring readers to reconstruct the discussion.
